Hello! We’re Plural-sourcecalls, run by @kankoshi-san .

We’re an exclusively pro-endo (/ neutral) sourcecall blog. We accept sourcecalls from all media, as long as you are a nice person, we allow it!

We’ll do sourcecalls for ourselves, or for anyone who sends us an ask. We don’t allow anon asks, but if you would like us to post one for you that’s anonymous, we may. We just need to know your base account personally, but the post can be anonymous.

Any anti-endo hate or sourcecalls will be deleted.

For a sourcecall, just submit any information you’d like people to know, including the media you’re from. You may also request DNIs. Please also include if you’re bodily a minor in your message for safety, or make sure to inform when asked. We don’t need any weird predatory issues.

A general template for any calls here would be:

⚝ — The Complications of Source Calls ...

touchy subject, right? source calls, everybody! dangerous, fun, helpful, dehumanizing ... they've been called basically everything in the book. but what really is the issue with source calling?

for those of you who are blissfully unaware, a source call is when an irl, fictionkin, introject, etc., posts a 'call' for their source mates to find and interact with. the purpose of these is usually to find friends or find familiar people to talk to! for the purpose of today's topic, i'm going to primarily focus on introject source calls.

there's a good side and a bad side to everything, and of course that's also the case with source calls. on the bright side of them, an introject can find some familiar faces to talk with! on the not-so-bright side, source calls can lead to introjects being dehumanized and viewed as a character instead of a person.

so where's the common ground? how do you do a source call while remaining respectful to whichever system you're talking to? in my opinion, this can be done, you just have to tread extremely carefully.

first of all, you need to remember that the person you're talking to is a person, not your memory of their source character. talking to source mates is fun and all, but remember: they have different memories, just like you. they're their own person with their own beliefs and ideals, and don't have to align with your exact recollection of their source. because that's all you're remembering. you're remembering their source, not them.

second of all, you need to be respectful towards the system you're speaking to as a whole. don't be rude to other alters if they show up, be willing to get to know the entire system, not just the person you've source called from. don't get mad when they leave front, and remember there's another person on the other side of the screen.

third of all, just don't be an asshole! don't treat the other person like a character, don't try to force your memories and perception of their source onto them, and overall remain kind throughout the entire thing.

if you do all this, i genuinely think you're all good to do as you please! as much as source calls can be dodgy, as long as you follow a basic criteria of respect and kindness when doing them, i think you're fine. it's not a crime for introjects from the same source to interact, and it shouldn't be treated that way! they should just be very respectful of each other and remember that the other is their own person. :}
